St. Leon-Rot, Germany

6 November 2012

UA @ University Info Day

Approximately 200 German students with degrees in computer science, IT, business administration, and engineering sciences were welcomed to the University Info Days @ SAP in the Audimax in St. Leon-Rot. The University Alliances team presented on TERP10 certificates, the SAPiens ideas platform, and the SAP Students Council @ UA powered by SCN, the biggest SAP Student Community.

Students that signed in at the University Alliances Booth had the chance to win prizes. The first prize was a tablet computer. Congratulations to the winner, a student from the University of Applied Sciences Fulda.

The event was very successful. During the University Info Day the students were given the opportunity to visit SAP headquarters and find out more about the company, its activities, its e-business solutions, and its employees. Experienced SAP employees presented SAP as an innovative enterprise and as a vendor of e-business solutions. Representatives from various areas of the company, among them also the University Alliances team provided insights into SAP’s corporate culture at different market places.

I know that SAP Mentor Ann Rosenberg is passionate about engaging with students in the SAP-osphere.  It's good to see such events.

Perhaps students can engage more widely in local events such as the Inside Track Events as well.

I also heard from Ann that about half of those students attending signed up to participate on SCN.  Having "millenials" and Gen "X"ers share their perspectives on SAP as a company, the software they are exposed to, their input on the SCN community as a whole would be very valuable.  Hope someone will encourage the new members of the community to blog, engage and share here.
