I'm a visual person. I love white boards, mind maps, infographics and animations. For me, a picture really does paint a thousand words which is why we're trying something a little different this year at SAPPHIRE NOW and SAP TechEd from Madrid - we're using Instagram.
The rapid growth of Instagram is incredible:
- Instagram has 100m registered users
- It has more than 11m daily active users
- It's growth rate of 400% in 7 months far outweighs the growth rate of Facebook and Twitter
Whilst we have the SAPPHIRE NOW accounts on Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and YouTube, we're missing this visual component so we'd like to get our attendees snapping away and tagging sapphirenow so we can share with our virtual audiences on Facebook and Instagram.
We'll take the best shots and highlight in a Facebook album and create a cover collage. We'll share the most popular via Twitter. We'll blog about the best shots here in the SCN. Don't forget, they'll also pop up on the screen at the Social Media Hub on the show floor.
