SAP Visual Intelligence: Going from SAP ECC to Sharing with Explorer

SAP’s Frank Rambo gave me this idea – why not publish a Visual Intelligence dataset to Explorer? Perhaps the use case could be to manipulate and clean up the data in Visual Intelligence and then sending that information to BusinessObjects Explorer for further exploration.

First I start with an ECC universe as a data source in Visual Intelligence.

Perhaps I then cleanse the data in Visual Intelligence

Then I publish the dataset to Explorer

Then I am prompted to save the dataset to a folder

Then the “success” message appears.   

Now I can log on to Explorer to see the dataset

I am not sure I am a data geek, but I am working on it
