Overall, TechEd Vegas was very successful for SAP NetWeaver Gateway team. We had pretty much full house for all our sessions. We saw a lot of interest from both customers and partners. Many customers wanted to know more about our licensing policy which we will provide more detailed information shortly through our social media channels. Several major companies indicated at TechEd that they are staring to implement NetWeaver Gateway.
Our hands-on session CD160 was a big hit and was scheduled 3 times. First two sessions were completely full, 80 seats total per session. The 20 out of 80 seats were just seats without laptops and even those seats were full. 20 to 30 wait listed people each time. Last session offered was on Friday and we thought turn out would be low since it's the last day at TechEd and many people went home. But again we were full. So total about 220 participants for CD160 for the 3 sessions. You can see people waiting to get into CD160 session.
In general the feedback was very positive about the Gateway product and the sessions. The audience liked service builder and how easy it was to provision Gateway services. They were alsopleased with how easy it was to consume the service with the Gateway development tools (html5 and php toolkits). In general the hands-on session participants liked being able to provision and consume the service end-to-end in a short amount of time.
