SAP Screen Personas at TechEd – Day 2
The mention of SAP Screen Personas in yesterday’s TechEd keynote session resulted in much customer interest today. In our morning Expert Session, we had over 25 people attending, many of them spilling into the aisles.
We had lunch with some SAP Mentors to answer their deeper questions about SAP Screen Personas now that they had the opportunity to see a live demo. We had presented to a group of SAP Mentors last month with an overview of SAP Screen Personas.
After lunch, we met with an SAP technical architect to hear his thoughts on deployment options. He had lots of great ideas and will likely become one of the key champions of this solution as we start rolling this out to customers. He had a few transactions he wanted to “beautify” with SAP Screen Personas.
The afternoon session was packed. We got about 3 minutes into the demo when the questions started. Tobias managed the unruly crowd and he and Sebastian managed to get through the rest of the demo. (Fortunately, the network was working, unlike in the morning.) The questions came in a rapid-fire fashion from the 50 attendees and continued in the hallway once our allocated time ended. The exciting outcome was that several customers signed up to work with us on some co-innovation projects to test SAP Screen Personas on their own scenarios with their own transactions. (Yes, this solution works with custom “Z” transactions.)
Congratulations to Tara Rosenzweig of SA Power Networks for winning the gift card drawing.
Later in the afternoon, I attended a session called “Changing the Game on Usability in SAP”, moderated by Jeff Woods, SAP Product Evangelist. It talked about the broader user experience strategy and transformation taking place within SAP. It seemed that many of the attendees appreciating how SAP Screen Personas fits into the overall UX picture.
Tomorrow should be another great day at TechEd.
