Developer Conference Session: Eye Candy example

As a follow up to my session, Restocking the Eye Candy Store, I thought I'd post an image of the example toolbar which was missing.

The first line shows the application as it originally existed with it's Win3.1/95 look.

The second shows an attempt at a skeuomorphic approach with richer icons.

The third is more of the 'Modern Apps' look (mobile devices).

The key to upgrading this application artifact with minimum disruption to the user community is to have the 'newer' icon represent the same shape/item as the old.
