During the last weeks of Q3, SmartOps held their annual Forum event in Chicago IL. The event was a fantastic gathering of supply chain gurus working at the world's largest manufacturing companies. During the event, speakers including Navy Commander Mike Abrashoff talked about change management and righting the ship (a plug for his book here - "It's Your Ship) followed by presentations from ConAgra, PPG, Celestica & Estee Lauder. Each company went through thorough presentations about the challenges and benefits they are seeing from supply chain improvements through Inventory Optimization ( I beleive ConAgra has maximized their Orville Redenbacher products to less than 4 unpopped kernals per year).
