Hi,

My name is Katie Bee. I am a Solution Engineer for SAP in the Retail Industry. I provide pre-sales support for the Retail Industry and Mobility solutions for Enterprise and Cloud applications. I strive to educate new and existing SAP customers on the latest Retail innovations to position solutions that lower the customer TCO and generate better decision making capabilities through real-time analytics. I deliver custom and standard customer demos designed to leverage customer data or source systems where possible to show value to business stakeholders and IT teams.

In response to the “Blog It Forward” questions posed to me by Mark Marcus my answers are as follows:

  • What was your dream job as a kid?

My dream job growing up was to become a fashion designer. I was really into fashion and retail and when I could finally start working, that is the avenue I chose to go down. Still not currently a fashion designer but am fortunate enough to work with my favorite retailers every day.

  • What is your favorite place in the world?

I would have to say my favorite place I’ve been so far would be Italy. Wonderful food, beautiful scenery and amazing wine. Definitely a place I would like to go back to every year if possible.

  • What was the most fun project you ever
    participated in and why?

In an e-commerce class in college I participated in a project that allowed me to pick a web-site of my chosing and market it using Google AdWords. I chose my mom’s website Canine Dreams (she’s a wonderful artist and specializes in dog portraits). So it was not only beneficial to me to be able to learn Google AdWords, but it was beneficial to her business as well. Check it out at: http://www.caninedreams.com/
