You are an NWBC Administrator? You like to specify a set of possible system connections for your end user?

Several customers have asked us if it is possible to specify a list of default connections (similar to SAPLogon). This is documented, but some have suggested it is difficult to find. So if You are an NWBC Administrator and  would like to specify a set of possible system connections for your end users, Help is at hand!

SAP Netweaver Business Client Help Documentation:

NWBC 4.0, see Administrator Configuration – User Interface Add-On for SAP NetWeaver – SAP Library

For Windows 7 you can find the NWBCOptions.xml file under Program Data -> SAP -> NWBC

Inside this document you will find many helpful comments.

      Hi Sandra,

I'm new here so bear with me.

The document you're referring too takes me to NWBC 5.0 not 4.0.

I'v setup the Installation Server and created a package which includes SapLogon 7.3 and NWBC 4.0. I managed to predefine connections to SapLogon but still struggling with NWBC.

Any ideas to point me in the right direction would be highly appreciated.

      Regards,

      AA

      Hi AA,

here the link to the 4.0 documentation:

SAP NetWeaver Business Client - SAP Library

Do you have to use 4.0? With 5.0 you don't have to create your connections twice. The connections are all managed in one common landscape file. So I would strongly recommend the new client version.

      Hi Sandra,

Thanks for the quick response. I'm checking with my organization to see why did they choose to use NWBC 4.0 and not 5.0. I also recommended using the latest version.

      Thanks again.

      Regards,

      AA
