Who is producing applications on SAP’s NetWeaver Cloud Technology?

This document is a quick list of Cloud solutions – from SAP, customers and partners – that are based on SAP NetWeaver Cloud technology.

It is not intended to have the full details of the solutions – just to give an indication of what technology it is being used.

Disclaimer: This is a crowd-sourced document by the community. It is not  an official SAP document and readers shouldn’t have any expectations that it is always up-to-date or accurate.

Note: Some solutions listed below may be based on NW Cloud but confirmation is still open. In those cases, I’ve made a note of this in the Comment column.

      Hi Richard,

Great initiative, this list. Two questions:

      1. Are we also going to start "advertising" NW Cloud apps on the SAP Store (http://store.sap.com) and, if so, when?

      2. Can we suggest additional entries to be included? I know a Dutch company, called HAI, which recently built a cloud-based production quality monitoring application (HAI*QPM), using NetWeaver, but I do need to confirm that it is NW Cloud.

Certainly. When? We are working on it with high prio 😉

That would be great. I don't know of all the partners who are developing NW Cloud apps and that it why I started this list. The more partner solutions that are listed the better. This is a more informal/ "crowd-sourcing" approach.

      Hi Dick,

really appreciate that you showed initiative here. As discussed on Twitter Peter and me where planning on creating such a page - you beat us to it 😉

Maybe one remark: please include a statement in the OP indicating that this is not an official SAP document, but as you said - a crowd-sourced document. It's just that I would want to avoid people getting the impression that this is an always completed and regularly updated document provided by SAP.

That said, I'll do my best to help keeping the document up to date as much as I can...

Should we add the NW Cloud apps that are part of the Demo Jam? I was blown away by KeyTree Demo.

After all it's your list Dick...

Yes, the Keytree demo plus some others we'll see at TechEd are stunning. However, my impression was that we would compile a list of 'real' applications. So, from my POV I'd say let's wait till we talked to Dan in Vegas and add it to the list then... #my2cents

      Hi Dick,

Thanks for the kind words and great series of blogs. FYI We've been building 3 apps on SAP NetWeaver Cloud.

The first one is Matrix: ultra-smart resource and facilities management. The initial scenario is meeting room management/ booking for corporate and consumer use (with a 3rd party market place). Early vid is here http://youtu.be/QxwSWC-qxPo. More to follow soon. We're looking to release it Q4 in the SAP store.

The second one is Store Trek (as you've seen). We are actually now serious about this for a games console but possibly first on the iPad. Can't say too much at the moment - but since we released the original video we've had a fair bit of interest. It will be a while before we can productise it though and there is much to work through.

The third one is called CEO Vision. We did this for Global HANA Innojam originally but version 2.0 is for Demo Jam Madrid. Can't say too much about that obviously... No product plan yet as it is somewhat far reaching. That said, we will produce some demos for a hardware manufacturer for CES next year (under NDA). Basically this is wearable computing meets Cloud. Which might just be the future, just not sure when.

Just watched the Matrix video - cool.

I'd be curious to know huch was based on custom development (Logins via twitter, LinkedIn, etc and mobile functionality) and how much of its was based on functionality inherent in #NWCloud ?

      Hi Dick

Great initiative. I have added some more links which perhaps are on SAP NetWeaver Cloud even though they mention JPaaS, Neo, SAP Cloud or other names.

      Best Regards

What about PI OnDemand and DS OnDemand? Were they not built using NW Cloud?

Well, I thought we are putting more applications and industry solutions as opposed to parts of the technology stack, but at the end if Dick put the portal you can put those...

Btw, a nice discussion on that is available here - ... NetWeaver Cloud Portal and other tidbits

      Hi Richard,

Thanks for the content and for keeping it up to date.

From a SAP customer perspective perhaps the title of the post should be "Who is producing applications on SAP's NetWeaver Cloud Technology?". I say this as the table appears to list of NWC Application producers and suppliers (SAP or Partners), rather than a list of Corporations who are actually using (by that I mean to run their businesses on) NWC based apps?

A small point perhaps, but I would argue an important one. It depends on how you see NWC. Is NWC a cloud platform for App producers or App consumers? As an "outsider" I would be much more interested in the latter.

      Cheers, Phil G.

Excellent suggestion regarding the title - I've changed it accordingly.

      hello,

Currently I am working for MNC as Network Engineer.I am BE(EC) & CCNA certified.I decided to shift my career in SAP. So I enrolled to SAP Basis & going to complete my training in next 20 days.

Can any one plz tell me that,is there any integration possible in future b/w SAP BASIS & Cloud Computing. If yes, plz guide me what next step i should take to have my carrier in SAP CLOUD COMPUTING,because as far as i know cloud computing is integrated with networking field.

Should i concentrate only on SAP basis and try to focus only to have job first as SAP basis Admin,or i should try to gather some knowledge of cloud computing also so that i can enter in sap clouding.

Plz guide as i am a new beginner in SAP and now I want a good career in SAP

      Hi..

I compared your table with the "Cloud Solutions" in the SAP Store, but I only find SAP Cloud Appliance Library.

      Where are the other solutions?

Or, another question: Is this the only SAP NetWeaver Cloud App in your list?

I also find out that two SAP Cloud Apps get in SAP Store in February:

      Esker Accounts Receivable
      Signavio Process Editor

So, are this the three SAP NetWeaver Cloud Apps only?

      Thanks for some info..

      Hi Andreas,

SAP Store is a sales channel, but not all solutions are available over it.

Most of the productive apps mentioned above you can find  in the solution catalog available here - http://www.sap.com/resources/technology-cloud/overview/cloud-solutions-finder.epx.

      Best Regards

      Peter
