The brilliant 18th century Russian physician and dramatist Anton Chekhov once said “Knowledge is of no value unless you put it into practice.”  These words hold wisdom that is neither subject to time, nor place, nor person; in fact these words hold exceptional value in the present modern era with the great wealth of knowledge that is easily accessible due to the influx of technological advancements.  Each person has the capability to contact an infinite amount of knowledge from limitless sources to utilize for his or her benefit; yet, what use is this knowledge if it is not put into practice to better that person, his company, or society in general?  After all, someone or something is only as good as what he or she brings to the table.

The retail industry is one where relevance is absolutely critical in order to be successful.  A retailer must be knowledgeable on the latest advancements within the industry (including both technological and communal) in a quick and efficient manner not only to stay relevant but ahead of its competitor; however, it [the retailer] cannot do this on its own and needs capable processes that streamline all aspects of its business.  This is where SAP Retail plays a vital role; SAP Retail ensures that its customers get the necessary help in order to succeed in this industry and it is the job of the SAP partners to ensure that the implementations run smoothly and operate efficiently.  Yet, in order to do this the SAP retail partners need to be knowledgeable as well and put this knowledge into practice to better help their own customers.  Hence, there is a conference solely dedicated to the education and development of the SAP IT professionals called the SAP Tech Ed Conference.

There are many out there who may not be too familiar with the SAP Tech Ed Conference.  This conference, held in Las Vegas for 2012, is a conference exclusively devoted to offering IT professional (including SAP Partners) an arena to honing their comprehension of the various SAP systems.  SAP Tech Ed is an excellent opportunity for these IT professionals who optimize, develop, upgrade, and implement SAP systems regularly to learn these SAP technologies including SAP NetWeaver, analytics, and mobile platforms quickly and conveniently in a fun interactive manner.

One might wonder though how professionals can learn such a great amount of knowledge in just one week. Well, that’s easy!  During these four action packed days, IT professionals will have a chance to attend over

1000 hours of pertinent knowledge exhaustively covering all the latest technologies, interact with hands-on training, and watch first hand how these technologies can be put to use with demoed lectures.  After all that, if they still have any questions there are excellent question/answer meetings  that address any concerns and quandaries about analytics, cloud, mobile, database, and in-memory computing.   It is a great place to not only learn but network with fellow SAP intellectuals and really find out how to put the latest knowledge into use to benefit your retail customers.

Groupsoft US will be attending this conference and cannot wait to get to Vegas!   Find out what has Groupsoft so excited in our next blog!
