The Change-Recording Story for SAP NetWeaver Portal

CTS+ based transports have been available for SAP NetWeaver Portal for a while, but in order to create transport packages, changes still had to be selected manually. Now, starting with SAP NetWeaver Portal 7.3, change recording is available and changes are recorded automatically in change lists for each developer. These change lists can be attached to CTS+ transport requests. This procedure has the advantage of less manual effort for developers, and helps to avoid mistakes or inconsistencies. Transport administrators also benefit from additional features such as status monitoring and filtering of change lists, and, as a result, filtering can be used to transport other users change lists.
