Monday Knowledge Snippet (MKS) – 01 Can I use different distances for planning and charge calculation?
Yes, since TM 8.0 a pretty flexible GIS integration framework is used to get distances from external systems. So imagine you want to use real street distances for planning your tours including scheduling, and a different distance for charge calculation based on your contracts. A huge problem before TM 8.0, now pretty easy to handle (including standard buffering, housekeeping, and stuff like that) . Check the GIS Integration White Paper for more details (attached to note https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/1685381).

Hi Markus,
Thanks for sharing info.
I have some doubt regarding one time location. This requirement is from one of our customer. They create customer orders & send to TM. Later they may need to change ship to to address. Below are my queries
-Does system only update destination address or also create new location ID?
-With original address, system would have determine distance. Based on new address does system recalculates distance?
Thanks,
Sunish

Hi,
i think this should work. When you update the address in the order, it should update the address of the one-time location attached. The distance will be determined out of the new coordinates. For planning it is definitely used up-to-date. For distances stored on document level I am not completely sure if it is always updated when the address is changed. Hope so.
