The Powerbuilder Datawindow control is an amazing software component.  Calling it a reporting object is like calling the Leatherman tool a great knife.  Its incredibly versatile either as an object displayed in an application or behind the scenes making processing tasks so much easier.

I just want to share a presentation one of the advanced display datawindows I have developed in the past and continue to work on.  You may have seen an image from this presentation in the Powerbuilder Roadmap Presentation from September 27, 2012 as an example of what can be done visually with the datawindow object.

Of course showing eye candy does not do much good without some explanation of how its done.  Please view a presentation I made at a Techwave conference a while back that explains the techniques used to achieve these results.
