2012 Executive Advisory Council

Senior executives from 17 of SAP’s Oil and Gas customers met for two days in Heidelberg, Germany, last week for the annual Executive Advisory Council meeting.  Customers from our Chemicals; Engineering, Construction, and Operations; and Life Sciences were also present.

The Council validated our strategic initiatives, and provided invaluable feedback that will be incorporated into our future planning.  Jim Snabe joined us on the second day, and we all enjoyed hearing more about SAP’s long-term vision.  We also held multiple cross-industry sessions to leverage synergies among the four industries present.

The Oil and Gas Global Advisory Council, another customer group, will meet in San Antonio, Texas, immediately following the Best Practices for Oil and Gas conference on 24 October.
