New SAP Solutions and Services for Sustainability

Here is an update on some exciting news around Sustainability – new products and services provided by SAP

SAP helps customers manage their energy consumptionThe new “Energy Management Implementation” service combines existing SAP software like SAP MII, SAP EC, and BW into a comprehensive SAP Energy Management solution. It enables customers to conduct operational energy management through long-term and short-term analysis and calculations. Interaction with plant maintenance is supported and preconfigured enterprise energy reporting is available.

SAP manages companies’ regulatory documentation – A new service, ‘SAP EHS Regulatory Documentation OnDemand’,  addresses the business pain companies have with hazard communications regulation compliance. Sold as a subscription, this service represents an extension of a customer’s product stewardship process. It automates the generation of Safety Data Sheets (SDS) via a cloud content service.

SAP launches online community for product manufacturers and their supply chains –The second service released is the ‘SAP Product Stewardship Network’. It is an online collaboration community for product manufacturers and their supply chains to efficiently obtain and/or distribute critical product and material related sustainability data. Manufacturers increasingly need this data to meet legal and customer requirements, like RoHS and REACH. It has been developed with co-innovation customers like Bosch and Weidmüller.

SAP supports the rapid deployment of incident management – The EHS Management rapid-deployment solution for incident management will be released in the very near future. It comprises most critical incident management functions of component extension 2.0 for SAP EHS Management, including recording of injuries, near misses, and  safety observations, incident investigation, US regulator reporting, and analytics.
