Another year, another SAP Retail Forum North America!  This year, we will be taking over Dallas, TX from October 1-3 with customer-driven sessions, store tours, keynotes from Peter Sheahan, CEO of ChangeLabs, and Anthony Paoni, Professor of Technology & Innovations at the Kellogg School of Management, and a wonderful array of product demos in our Innovation Pavilion.  In order to find out which solution our attendees are most interested in learning about during the upcoming SAP Retail Forum North America, we decided to run polls across our SAP Retail social channels on Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn.  Let’s take a look at the results:

It sure was a close one! It does not surprise me that our fans, followers and group members on social media are most interested in learning about the SAP Social Customer Engagement solution (35%).  With the widespread prevalence of smartphones (anyone toting a new iPhone 5? Jealous!), mobility reigns as a hot topic and our Mobile Point of Sale solution comes in at second place.  Here’s a closer look at each of the highlighted solutions.

SAP Social Customer Engagement: Monitor and Engage Via Social Media

These days, your customers expect you to listen and interact with them in social media instantaneously. In order to adapt successfully, you need to listen to what is relevant, who is talking about you, and what degree of influence they have on the broader community. With this information, you can use your resources to engage quickly and consistently, while also enabling the capacity to measure your results. SAP Social Customer Engagement can help your business navigate social media to your advantage.

Mobile Point of Sale: Enhanced Customer Service

For retailers seeking to differentiate themselves by providing both a personal customer service and a unique shopping experience, SAP Partner Agilysys offers an innovative variety of mobile applications that extend our SAP Point of Sale solution. These apps range from wireless scanners that virtually extend your checkout lanes to a mobile point-of-sale checkout solution, which provides the customers the ability to close transactions and print receipts anywhere in the store.

SAP HANA: Analyze “As Fast as You Can Think!”

As computer hardware economics have continued to track Moore’s Law, new software strategies become increasingly feasible. SAP’s revolutionary in-memory database, SAP HANA, enables “speed of thought” analysis and new classes of applications to exploit Big Data opportunities.

SAP Business Analytics: Make Better Decisions

SAP BusinessObjects BI solutions helps retailers be more effective, resulting in increased sales and profits. This self- service access and insight to structured and unstructured data, no matter where it resides, helps retailers boost overall productivity.

SAP Promotion Management: Revamp Your Promo Planning

Revamping is defined as the process to renovate or revise. Use this tool to discover new ways you can streamline the promotion planning process, promote the products your customers want to buy, and improve your merchandising and marketing organizations’ efficiency.

Want to see these solutions in action?  Be sure to swing by the Innovation Pavilion during the SAP Retail Forum North America to view exciting demos.
