The SAP Australian New Zealand University Dashboard Competition has now been conducted for three years and involved all the UA members from Australia and New Zealand. The Competition had been spearheaded by Paul Hawking, from Victoria University. There were more than thirty students from the different universities which participated in this competition. The competition was based on creating a dashboard for Junior Achievement which is a large international educational non-profit organization that impacts over 173,000 classrooms and 10 million students per year globally. Junior Achievement provides requirements for the proposed dashboard including key performance indicators and visualizations. The students, either work as an individual or in teams of two, had to create a dashboard using SAP Crystal Dashboard Design solution. SAP sponsored the event by providing an Apple Ipad for the winning team and SAP training for the second place getter. The international judging panel, made up of SAP Mentors and academics, were impressed with the caliber of entries. The winning dashboard was developed by Santhosh Palanisamy from Curtin University and the second place getter was Eric Maure from Victoria University. Eric was the winner of the dashboard competition in 2011. Learn more about the winner of the dashboard competition.

"Considering that this was my first time designing a dashboard with Xcelsius, I learned a lot of skills which will help me to kick start my career. Also having hands-on experience with a leading analytical solution should be of real high value in the industry." Santhosh
