Delete Merchandise Category

First case merchandise category is not assigned to any article

1- You can delete merchandise category if there is not assigned to any article (Use Transaction “WG23”)

1. Enter Merchandise Category Code that you want to delete
2. Press on delete merchandise category icon
3. Press again Delete MG icon
4. Press yes for the pop up message displayed
5. Merchandise is deleted

Second Case merchandise category is assigned to articles

1. Check Assignment of articles to the merchandise category that you want to delete (Transaction Code WGUS)
2. Articles assigned to this merchandise category are displayed ,these articles must be reassigned to another merchandise category to be able to delete it

Note articles number and go back to assign these article to another merchandise Category

1. Reassign articles to another merchandise category (transaction code WRCR)
2. Enter article number and the new merchandise Category

• Uncheck test Run indicator
• Press execute
• Press Yes On pop up message displayed
• Article is reassigned from merchandise category 1010 to merchandise category 210  ,check log
• Repeat steps for the other article XY1234 assigned to merchandise category 1010

You can delete merchandise category 1010 after removing articles assigned to it (Transaction WG23)

1. Delete MG
2. Press yes
3. Merchandise is deleted
