Dashboards competition for EMEA University Alliances members, Autumn 2012
From September to November 2012 SAP University Alliances in EMEA will be running a very exciting, and challenging, dashboard competition for students at universities that are active participants in the University Alliances program. The competition is being run in close collaboration with two significant partners – our SAP colleagues from Business Analytics Services and our partners from United Nations children’s charity unicef.
Students are free to download our latest Crystal Dashboards Design 2011 tools from the University Alliances Community page as well as our Visual Intelligence toolset. Unicef will also be providing real data from its’ database on donors to enable students to create not only a highly professional visual dashboard but also one based on real world data. Unicef are very keen to see if students can realise some strategic aspects to their operations that perhaps they hadn’t thought of so students should view this is as a very powerful opportunity to demonstrate real consulting and analytical skills.
Teams can enter from 1 to 3 students each and universities can submit as many teams as they wish. However the emphasis is very much on quality not quantity to only students that have the maturity to create something highly professional and worthy of recognition should apply.
Speaking of recognition – the top three teams will be selected to attend our SAPPHIRE NOW / TechEd conference, all expenses paid, in Madrid in mid November. The three finalists will then be selected as first, second and third prize winners winning respectively an iPad, iPod or 50 Euros in iTunes vouchers each.
But the key prize is the recognition for winning and creating something that will demonstrate to potential employers that the students can think analytically and creatively as well as work with the latest technology.
We look forward to seeing their results.
