System Landscape for Netweaver 7.3.1

There are several blogs describing how to install SAP Netweaver 7.3.1. For instance, you have the option for installing the Dual stack variant. In this case, you have standard PI installation with an Integration Engine, Business Process Engine (ccBPM) and the Advanced Adapter Engine (AAE). For BPM and BRM, you have to install a separate system for example a SAP Netweaver 7.3 or 7.3 EHP 1. On the other hand, you can also install SAP Netweaver 7.3.1 on a Java stack only. In this case we speak about Process Orchestration consisting of BPM, BRM and a Advanced Adapter Engine Extended (AEX).

Let me guess…I see a lot of confusion !?

That’s why I created this blog with only a few pictures about the system landscape of a SAP Netweaver 7.3.1 installation.

For more information, you have to read the Master Guide SAP Enhancement Package 1 for NetWeaver 7.3 (SMP logon required).
