Business One users: Get the most out of SAP Community Network

If you are reading this post then you will probably be a member of the SAP Community Network. This is a great place to find and share information about SAP and can be very useful to a range of people.

Addition to blog 17/09/2012 “Recently Marilyn Pratt posted this blog on SCN Rules of Engagement – SCN is meant to be informative, collaborative and fun so these guidelines should hopefully help you get the most out of it”

I’ve been prompted to write this post after seeing some really great content in the Business One Application space that have lots of views but no one has “Liked” or given a Star Rating. To get the most out of SCN it is important to rate posts, questions or answers you find interesting or useful. Also the “Like” function helps good content to be found easier so helping everyone.

It would be great if everyone was an “Active” member of SCN but if you simply read posts and blogs please start Rating and Liking content as this will help our Business One community to improve and be more useful to you. Let’s all get involved, comment on each other’s posts and Like / Rate good content! Remember to share on Twitter, G+ and Linked In too.

YES!   SCN is the place.   The best place for information.   Plus you get to meet people who are crazy enough to love SAP.  I'm one of those crazy people.

It's easy to join.   Really, you don't have to do anything.   Ratings, like, don't like, bookmarks... oh my.   Actually those are fairly easy and quick to do.   If you join, then you can make people who write good blogs, good answers - happy.   Then maybe they will write some more!   Just think an infinite loop.  (Good feedback - write more - good feedback - write more, you get the picture.)

By the way bad "feedback" can be a good thing too.   Just think if you spent 40 hours trying to figure out a blog that someone wrote.  Yes, it helped.  You sort of got the answer.  But you find out that you could have done it easier a different way.   Leave a lower rating so the next person may not go down the same path that you did.  (And if you are really motivated, write a blog about it.)

I hope to see you on SCN!

Thank you - Tim for writing this!

Yep, I agree on all counts. I am presenting to Business One customers at this years SAP Users Annual Conference. I'm talking about Innovation and including a live demo of SCN and how useful it is.

The Business One community is pretty small on SCN in comparison but I'm hoping to change that!
