Changing File Repository Server for SAP BI 4.0 on windows
Create share location on network to configure this prior you start changing File Repository Server
Note : Make sure you copy existing local Files from file repository to share location before any change. (Example: E:\Program Files (x86)\SAP BusinessObjects\SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise XI 4.0\FileStore)
Login to CMC through http://hostname:Port:/BOE/CMC as Administrator
Open Servers
Navigate to Service Categories >> Core Services
You will find 4 Server for two BI systems and two for one BI system

Change location of ‘File Store Directory’ and ‘Temporary Directory’
Example Path
File Store Directory : \\Share Location\BI\FileStore\Output
Temporary Directory : \\Share Location\BI\FileStore\Output\temp
Save and close button
You will see red flags under Stale column.
Select the marked server with red flag and press restart server
An easier way would be to update the placeholder values on the nodes, whereby you could leave the locations in the FRS properties to %DefaultFRS...%.
That is also possible....
Actually, this doesn't seem to be possible. The FRS locations are not part of the placeholders available for editing.
My apologies for the confusion.

That's ok!
I am happy to see that you find a way to fix it.
Thanks
