With about nine weeks remaining for our annual Best Practices for Oil and Gas conference, now is the time to get registered and secure your reservation.  Our venue this year will be at the The Westin La Cantera, in San Antonio, Texas, from 21 through 24 October.  This is the second year of this premier conference and, with over 300 attendees last year, it promises to be even bigger and better this year.

Our theme this year is focused on “situational awareness, sustainability, and prudent development”, with a featured keynote address from Devon Energy Corporation’s Executive Vice President of Administration, Alan Marcum.  SAP executives Chakib Bouhdary, Isabella Groegor-Cechowicz, and Mike Wendell also will provide a keynote on the first day.  Following the format at SAPPHIRE NOW in Orlando this year, we are following the keynotes on the first morning with an executive panel moderated by ARC Advisory Group President and CEO, Andy Chatha, to discuss global collaboration in the industry.

Our four tracks on the first afternoon will be Exploration and Production, Shared Corporate Services, Refining and Downstream, and Oilfield Services.  Three roundtable discussions will be held immediately following lunch on the first day.  Isabella Groegor-Cechowicz will wrap up with her keynote presentation, “The Emerging Energy Platform”.

Day two will start with keynote presentations from Mike Wendell and Mark Routt, followed by four tracks including Project Management, EAM, Sustainability, and Analytics.  Three more roundtable discussions will follow lunch on the second day as well.

Day 3 is reserved for four workshops on topics like Mobility and HANA.

Of course, one of the best ways to learn is from collaborating with your colleagues.  To get the most from the event, attendees should arrive Sunday in time for the Jumpstart Workshop and ASUG-led roundtables on Upstream and Downstream.

Finally, attendees should plan to stop by and experience the innovations from SAP and our partners in the exhibit hall.
