SCN Top Education Contributor July 2012
We are delighted to announce that Thomas Dulaney is Top Education Contributor for the month of July. When Tom was studying Genetics at Grad School he never thought that he would get into the SAP world. It was his passion for teaching that drove him to volunteer to teach the IT in Biology course – and he did that with such vigor and success that he was asked to take over the position of Data Center Manager on graduating. He then went on to join SAP as a Basis consultant – after getting reassurances that a major part of his job would be training and mentoring. After 12 years with SAP, including one year in Walldorf, where his second child was born, Tom is now working with http://www.iluminasolutions.net/ as the “quality gate” on Federal Government projects, providing an interface between the customer and the systems integrators. He has a strong desire to mentor and guide folks who are just starting out on their SAP career and works with universities to bring real world perspective to academia. In his “spare time” (whenever that may be) he is actively working on mechanisms to educate Veterans (especially Wounded Warriors) as to how their military experience can lead to a rewarding career in SAP. Tom is immensely respected within the SAP Community for his excellent advice and valuable contributions and was also awarded the title of SCN Member of the Month for August http://scn.sap.com/community/about/blog/2012/08/01/thomas-dulaney–scn-member-of-the-month-august-2012
Thank you Tom!
