SAP BusinessObjects Analysis Office – How to create HANA connection in BIP using IDT

1. Launch IDT.

2. Create New Project.

3. Create new Relational Connection.

4. Publish Connection to BIP repository.

5. Now the connection is published in BIP repository.

6. Goto CMC –> Connections The connection should be available there.

7. Now AO can consume HANA connections from BIP.

8. Insert –> Select Datasource –> Connect to BIP.

9. Added HANA connection should be available in the list.

      Can you please confirm that you need HANA Client and Drivers on the BOBJ Server. inorder the BOBJ CMC Connection to connect to HANA Server

      Hi Srinivas,

      No, You don't need a separate installation of HANA client if you are using BIP.

      This comes as in-built.

      Pre-Requisite is to have BIP 4.0 or above?

      We are on 4.1Sp1 Patch1. Still getting this error when open the Relational connection from BOE4.1 on a client machine which has Analysis Office

      HANA ODBC driver (HDBODBC*) not found. Make sure that HANA Client is installed on this machine

      (Sorry not able to past a screenshot here in the comments section)
