Recently some questions came up regarding the available adapters for PI, and whether additionaly licensing will be required.  I think this is a reuslt of the new software distribution contract with iWay and the introduction of the B2B Add-Ons.  These information are spread across various documents on SCN and SAP Help.  Consequently, I thought it might useful to consolidate these information in one place here.

    hi William,

    I want to use SAP B2B Add-On as2 adapter for my customer, but their use pi7.31 sp06,

    as mentioned above, as2 adapter is Available to PO licensed customers only;

    Must i replace pi license with po license? and the license cost?

    Thank you!

      Yes, the B2B Add-On is only available with a PO license.  You must first determine the cost of the PO license, which is core-based.  Then, you subtract from it the cost of their existing PI license.  This will be their final cost.

      Also, I believe their is an incentive program going on right now which will add, I believe, 50% to their existing license in determining the final cost.  (Don’t hold me to this…please ask the AE.)

    Hello Bill,
    in the last three years, a lot has happened on the adapter front.

    Since your list provides the overview many people like, would it be possible to extend your list with the “PI Connectivity Add-On 1.0” adapters (SFSF and OData) and the “Adapters for SAP NW PI Integration 1.0/1.1” (ELSTER, SWIFT and BCONS)?

    That would be very helpful.

    Thanks.

    Sebastian
