As anticipated in the previous blog “SAP ReX – first customer went live with SAP Retail Execution” here I am to tell something more about the new ways to run implementation projects.
Offering the offline capability is not as easy as many people may think.
SAP ReX can execute Synchronizations on demand that means when the user press the Sync button or under certain conditions even automatically.
Edit is not enabled for a certain Sales Order
It may happen that just after confirming a Sales Order via the SAP ReX, the visited customer changes his/her mind asking for one more item or a different quantity.
For these cases, normally SAP ReX does provide the Edit functionality to update a Sales Order.
It may also happen that you’ll find the Edit button disabled. Don’t worry.
In such a case, you have to pay attention to the flag “Submit immediately” located in the Preferences – General menu.
If the flag is ON, to grant a correct data exchange, SAP ReX voluntarily disables the Edit button until the the synchronization with the SAP ECC successfully complete.
Be patient or keep the Submit immediately OFF 😉
