Dear Community,

Few weeks ago we have achieved a new and exciting milestone with the release of Enterprise Workspaces 1.1 SP2 to the market. This new release of Enterprise Workspaces provides substantial enhancement for our existing Enterprise Workspaces customers and for new customers who are evaluating Enterprise Workspaces to be implemented on-top of their existing SAP NetWeaver Portal foundations.

For those of you who are new to Enterprise Workspaces. Enterprise Workspaces is an add-on for the SAP NetWeaver Portal providing casual users tools to quickly and easily create and share workspaces (one or more pages) while leveraging existing portal assets.

With Enterprise Workspaces 1.1 SP2, several new enhancements are provided:

  • Mobile representation of existing workspaces on tablets, using mobile web browser (only iPad devices are supported in this release)
  • New RSS reader module
  • New member list explorer module used to explore the workspace connections of the members of a workspace
  • Filtering workspaces by desktop – apply desktop filtering to workspaces, to filter the workspaces displayed in the workspace directory according to the desktop currently in use
  • Module tray enhancements – hide module tray for members; add and Inherit module tray menu entries from the iView properties

    Dear Aviad,

    Thank you for maintaining us in loop. I have a question about the integration with backend systems such as the SAP Learning Solution. I will go for the collaboration room as with it I can integrate easily my course in the learning portal with the collaboration room.

    Have the SAP Enterprise Workspaces also an integration with the Learning Solution? If yes, do you have some examples?

      Hi Venessa,

      One of the key benefits of Enterprise Workspaces is the ability to compose pages with structured and un-structured content, side-by-side in a self-service and collaborative approach. The consumption of applications is easy and straight forward.
