Solman 7.1: SP 5 Syntax Error in /TMWFLOW/CL_TRANSPORT and workaround solution

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  The issue has been solved with note 1705856 implementation and is attached to the master note of SP5! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Please just reimpliment ChaRM master note 1649428 as described here:

http://scn.sap.com/community/it-management/alm/solution-manager/blog/2012/06/05/prerequisites-to-fulfill-before-implementing-the-charm-master-note

Currently a lot of customers have this issue after SP5 upgrade:

Dumps with syntax error in the work center or CRM Web UI:

SAP is working on an automatic solutiuon but here is a fast manual workaround:

1.) get a developer key

2.) go into SE24 into the class as visible above

3.) Choose ‘Utilities->Cleanup->Method includes’

4.) you will be asked to confirm that the method ‘GET_IMPORTABLE_TOC’ is deleted.

5.) Confirm and save and activate the class

The error should now be solved now.

  • Hi all,

    I just wanted to add here that these syntax errors come from a SPAU bug, actually SPAU didn't delete all traces of obsolete notes (one table entry is still left in the system for obsolete notes). The issue just happens if you haven't implemented note 1738132 in your system, have a note in your system with some Support Package (say SP4 for example) which introcduces a new method in a class. But for the next Support Package (lets take SP 5), the class has been reworked and the method does not exist anymore and the note is obsolete for this SP (5). Then when doing the SPAU adjustment for obsolete notes (and note 1738132 is not in the system), these errors occur.

    The workaround described here should work for all classes having this syntax error after Support Package Implementation and SPAU adjustment was done.
