SAP Solution Manager enablement and BusinessObjects XI 3.1 / BI 4.0

SAP Solution Manager has been used for years to help SAP customers in 4 main areas:

    1. Maintaining business continuity
    2. Improving business processes
    3. Protecting IT investment and introducing innovations
    4. Reducing total cost of operations

It is now available to monitor and manage BusinessObjects deployments in the same way. In particular, one of the primary benefits of SAP Solution Manager with regards to the systems it monitors is the Early Watch Alert which offers the following:

    • System performance overview
    • Workload distribution
    • Hardware capacity
    • Hardware capacity forecast
    • SAP System Operating

SAP Solution Manager helps you identify problems before they happen.  A custom dashboard that leverages Wily Introscope shows key statistics like average response times (i.e. for WebI, Crystal, OLAP analysis processes and more), CPU utilization, and other critical system metrics.  The highly Interactive Investigator Tool allows a BusinessObjects system administrator to quickly identify areas of concern and drill to the source of the problem.
