Welcome to my Blog on Mobile Retail, Hospitality, and CPG
Greetings, everyone. Since this is my first blog entry, please pardon the self-introduction. My name is Michael (aka “Mickey”) Haynes, based out of Atlanta. I joined SAP in April 2012 as a Mobility Solutions Executive in the Global CoE for Mobility. I have been doing mobile enterprise apps for about 16 years in a variety of industries, but I have spent most of my time focused on Retail. Before joining SAP, I was the Prinicpal Mobility Architect at The Home Depot for three years where I led the architecture of B2E (Employee), B2C (Consumer), and B2B (Partner) mobile applications. I have also previously built mobile retailing apps for Walmart, Circuit City, Best Buy, Saks Fifth Avenue, Polo, Calvin Klein, Target, Harrod’s, Macy’s, Lord and Taylor, Burdyne’s, Tesco, and others when I was at Symbol, Microsoft, and Retaligent.
My role at SAP is to help establish the go to market strategy for mobile in retail, hospitality, and CPG. I will be working closely with solution development and platform development teams as well as our IBUs, sales organizations, and customers. Anytime you need support in mobile retailing globally, whether it is to discuss strategy or to provide or understand direction for related solutions, please contact me and I will do everything I can to help.
I will be making blog posts as often as possible to help communicate some of the ideas and strategies that are succeeding around the globe. If you have ideas for topics you would like me to cover, please let me know. I would like to keep this discussion as open as possible between us, rather than boring, static blog entries.
Thanks, and I look forward to hearing from you!
