Hi everyone,

People have been asking if they can have the Hybrid Web Container a.k.a. Workflow Container on their real device or on a simulator on their local laptop to use them with the Developer Center. So I thought I write a quick blog on where to get it for the various devices.

The simplest answer is of course download the app from the Store/Market/AppWorld for your Device.

For the Hybrid Web Container version 2.1.2 which was the most current one at the time of me writing this you find

The one for  iOS Devices here: http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/sybase-mobile-workflow-2.1.2/id501435785?mt=8&uo=4

For the Android Devices here:  https://play.google.com/store/search?q=Sybase+Workflow+&c=apps

I have not found the one for BlackBerry and for Windows on the BlackBerry App World resp. on the Windows Phone Marketplace so I guess you have to install them manually. If somebody knows the links please post and I update the blog accordingly.

If you however want to connect your local simulator can download the packages that are needed from the Cloudshare Image @ c:\Sybase\UnwiredPlatform\MobileSDK\HybridWeb

Copy the content of the folder that matches your device over to your local machine.

On iOS: you have to compile the Hybrid Web Container yourself to deploy it on the iOS simulator.

On Android: you have to use the adb install functionality of the Android simulator. Start up the simulator, open up a command prompt, navigate to the platform-tools folder inside your android sim and use the “adb install” command with the SybaseDataProvider.apk and also with the Workflow.apk.

On BlackBerry upload all the *.cod files that you find in the BB folder to the simulator via the simulator menu.

On Windows upload the SybaseMobileWorkflow cabinet file to your mobile phone.

Once you have the Hybrid Web Container app on your device or sim configure the connection as described here:
