The below section describes the job trace setting to be taken care of while designing the Data Services jobs.

The trace properties are set to select the information that Data Services monitors and writes to the trace log file during job execution. Data Services writes
trace messages to the trace log associated with the current job server and writes error messages to the error log associated with the current job server.

To set the trace property follow the below mentioned steps:

1) Right click on the Job created.

2) Click on ‘Properties’.

3) Go to ‘Trace’ tab. Set the preferences.

Note: Giving Trace Row option would write a trace entry for each row processed within the transform. This would result in more number of logs getting created. So avoid giving this option as “Yes”, for the job to execute faster.
