Hi everyone

Well, we finally made it to the launch date at SAP SAPPHIRENOW last week and nobody died waiting (although I got quite a few emails begging and pleading for advanced copies).  I recorded a little video blog to introduce the book.  Here’s the URL to download both the EPUB (iOS/PC/Mac) and MOBI (Kindle) versions.  www.saphanabook.com At the end, I put in the voucher code for everyone to get a free copy of the book.  There will be several other voucher codes flying around the internet as we go.

Hope you enjoy the first few chapters and remember to make sure to sign up for the mailing list to find out when new chapters are available.

Happy Learning

“Free” is super. I know that many people have been asking for this kind of info, examples, and insight about SAP HANA, so for the company and authors to put so much time and investment into providing a comprehensive book, and to offer it free, is really noteworthy. I got my first chapter as a teaser at SapphireNow last week; the rest will round out the story of SAP HANA.

    Hi Jeffrey,

I have the greatest of respect for authors and the accomplishment of writing books.

I’d like to download either a chapter or the whole book.

The registration process on the website (which is required for downloading) does not proceed without a Voucher Code being entered.

Click the Voucher Code question mark and a popup comes and says, click here and get the voucher code from this blog, click that link and a whole browser window opens full of blogs, click one of the blogs which portrays as containing the voucher code and you are told the code is at the end of a 6 minute video – that’s where I had enough and threw in the towel. The process is resembling what happens when one tries to download free software and window after window opens saying click here to download now and again and again.

We’re all busy professionals, the book is a wonderful thing, please either give the voucher code without forcing interested parties to go all around the houses, or release a cutdown version with the first two chapters.

I too am writing a book at the moment, putting into a book all of my most useful tips and tricks and cookbook recipes across the ABAP and NetWeaver suite from the last 14 years of being a Basis Technician, I am watching with interest the process of releasing your book since you delivered the first blog https://www.experiencesaphana.com/blogs/experts/2012/02/06/how-to-eat-an-elephant-and-other-publishing-advice

This will help me find the path to publishing my book.

All the best and congratulations on a wonderful achievement.

    Andy.
