Crystal Reports for Enterprise: BI4 Feature Pack 3 Feature using Online Report Templates

In BI4 Feature Pack 3 with Crystal Reports for Enterprise, to avoid the “blank report canvas” feature, you can start a report using the online report template.

You can start Crystal for Enterprise and then do File > New > From Web Template or from the start page select “From Web Template”

From the Open Template screen, select the Sales & Customer Contact category, and in this example, select Cheque Report.

At this prompt you select Set Data Source Location

Click the Add Connection to begin mapping to a data source

Then begin mapping the fields from the Current Data Source to the Target Data Source

Select Done

Save and your report will be using the “cheque” online report template.
