Spring is in the air and so is the buzzzzz about Sapphire NOW. This much anticipated world class technology conference kicks off in Orlando, starting May 14th – 16th for two action packed days of innovation, thought leadership and a renewed focus on people.

 

And the Next Generation Billing team is more committed than ever to share new winning strategies and tactics to help individuals and organizations win bigger than ever before.  We’ve been busy preparing an exciting agenda showcasing the best in customer success stories, new Sapphire Demo Theatres, Microforums and speaking events at the ASUG Campus.

Our Customer Panel discussion will feature – Adobe, Coinstar and Microsoft for a discussion on new business models, value chains and offering that all lead to new requirements. Hear from SAP Customers why companies are reevaluating the billing function in light of a changing economy.

To give you an idea of the business challenges solved and the unique value our solution has brought – here are two brief stories on Adobe and Coinstar.

 

Adobe utilizes our pricing, billing and financials management applications to help support their SaaS offerings and business model since their industry was quickly moving towards subscription and consumption based pricing. They now have a scaleable and robust platform that enables business and marketing flexibility to quickly launch new product bundles at market attractive price points.

Coinstar eliminated their manual revenue accounting process across non-integrated systems and added simplification to their partner management process. Their new single integrated system captures kiosk and financial transactions, fully automates complex revenue sharing models across all LoBs and rapid rollout of new LoBs.

Microforums and Roundtables

We’re honored this year to have Microsoft speak at one of microforums in the High Tech campus to share how they utilize our full pricing, billing and financials management suites for enabling new business models in the partner channel ultimately reinventing its relationship with key partners.

 

The discussion also focuses on how Microsoft uses SAP’s solution to increase flexibility and drive value. Learn as well how to transform your charging and invoice processes to adapt to new models and competitive advantage.

 

Demo Theatre and Demo Pod

Demo the Theatre is new this year and we feature 20 minutes overviews of specific solutions. “Next Generation Billing: Monetizing the Cloud & Connected Services” should be quite an interesting topic based on the high interest in cloud these days.

Demo Pod – “Apply Smart Commerce with an Integrated Consume to Cash process” will be hosted by David McNierney from our Center of Excellence.  Learn how to leverage subscription billing, pay-as-you-go charging, e-wallets, and partner settlement to increase revenue and maximize profitability. Also learn the latest in mobile innovations.

ASUG Campus

The ASUG Campus for Consume to Cash will host Telus with a more in-depth look at the success they’ve had with wireless billing using SAP Convergent Charging.  Telus is one of the top three mobile network operators in Canada and with prepaid subscribers making up 25% of their subscriber base, a real-time rating platform was critical to success in this space.  During the discussion they will share with you their experiences with implementing SAP Convergent Charging. They will also share how SAP Convergent Charging had made it possible to close revenue leaks and open new areas of business that were not possible before.

 

An Executive Council will also be hosted in the ASUG Communities Lounge for Charging, Billing and Payments and a customer dinner will be featured for our valued partners.
