Key focus was also given to an enhanced flexibility with respect to modularization, easy setup and deployment.       yes, such a blog is planned and should be published already. We planned to have all blogs of the list ready by April 23, but people are busy working on release 3.0.

    I will start some work next week on WCEM 2.0 and I have actually a question…

    It is state everywhere that the WCEM uses state-of-art Web 2.0 technology, however I could not find a proper DC/SC containing a full JUnit Test Suite + User Interface Test Suite (eg Selenium..) – To be honest, so far I couldn’t find a single article about Automated Testing / Continuous Integration. Where can I find these?

    • Hello Daniel,

      WCEM product will be developed using agile and test driven methodologies, with usage ofJUnit, Selenium, Jenkins, and some more. Nevertheless the test classes and scripts aren’t part of the product delivery, so that you won’t find any DCs/SCs with such content on your side.

      Because this part is handled internally, we haven’t provided any articles relating this question. In general, you can check the publically available documentation for Selenium and other frameworks and use it within your development activities as well.

    Beyond the product catalog, in order to fully translate the web shop based on the user’s language, is it necessary to have separate web shops created, or does the UI support translation of all components into the user language?

      Perhaps you could ask this question in the WCEM community for somebody else who might have the same question?

      Still, to answer this question here, WCEM supports multiple languages as part of its internationalization. In the same shop, based on browser settings, the page locale changes which in itself changes many things such as language, date format etc. This functionality is available across modules and not only for catalog.

      There are many sources of translated texts : UI JSF, catalog MDM/TREX, backend CRM/ERP.

      WCEM web shop do not specify a language. Texts are expected to be multi-languages.

      For a given web shop configured in WCB, only the TREX catalog is not multi-language. The TREX index is built using a single language and the index is set for a web shop.
