Test Automation Framework in SAP Solution Manager 7.1

SAP Solution Manager is being used for Test Management from ages but many customer prefer third party tools for automation like QTP (Quick Test Professional ) etc.

Before Solution Manager 7.1 version we have to integrate the HPQC to use the tools like QTP but from now on in Solution Manager 7.1 onwards the Test Automation framework is been introduced.

This takes care of directly integrating HP QTP and Solution Manager. Yes you read it correct no need for a HPQC license.

This will save cost and I think will attract more customer to utilize Solution Manager 7.1 for testing.In addition it is easy to register and integrate HP QTP with Solution Manager.

The configuration is very simple just logon to solution manager Test Management workcenter and register the QTP their and this way integration is easily achieved.

Thus, Test Automation Framework allows a seamless creation of automated test cases from Solution Manager BPR with 3rd party Testing tools like QTP.
