No SLD elements of type SAP_XIAdapterFramework found

In our fresh PI 7.3 installation, we came across the following issues while configuring the adapters in the Integration Directory.

Nothing appeared in the Adapter type drop down of Communication Channel monitoring and Message Monitoring did not have Adapter Engine. It was clear that Adapter Engine was not maintained correctly in the SLD. This was visible in the new tab available in RWB.

In the intial versions , we used to follow the note

764176 - Error in XI due to inconsistent SLD contents.

However with the new SLD Registration screen you can easily register the components: Specify the host name and port and click on Register.

After this you can restart the XPI Facade: Adapter Framework Service (NWA --> Operations --> Systems --> Start and Stop -- Java Services)

Also ensure the RFC Destinations SLD_Client and SLD_DataSupplier are working and you are able to ping destination. (NWA -->Configuration --> Infrastructure --> Destinations)

Finally do a "Collect and Send Data: in the SLD Data Supplier configuration (NWA -->Configuration --> Infrastructure --> SLD Data Supplier configuration) and it should return true.
