After a few weeks of wading through the new SCN launch, I’m starting to get comfortable again using the platform. The good part is that I can tell by the traffic in the space that I’m moderating that people have jumped back in to get active.
The real question for myself and many of us, is what should being active mean again. I know that for myself it means watching a space carefully as a moderator as time allows and then trying to either answer questions or contribute meaningful content. The real question is how active can I be, since many of my technical reasons over the last three weeks or why I couldn’t contribute(both old and new are gone). My real question is what do I want to share and how can I share that information with other people in an effective manner that will not duplicate effort and will be useful to others.
The good and bad part is that as my project focus is shifting again, I may end up in different space as someone researching/asking vs contributing the answer. The most interesting part about this is that I will truly go back full circle to what got me involved with Customer Relationship Management (SAP CRM) in the first place. Except this time I’m no longer the developer but rather the project lead. I will have to blog about this “back to future” experience and talk about how much has changed or not changed within 10 years.
So my question for those who might read this blog, have you spent more time playing Angry Birds Space rather than using SCN space over the last few weeks.
