Difference between Multi provider and Hybrid Provider
It will Automatically create DTP and Transformation from DSO to CUBE
We can create the report from DSO available in the Hybrid provider
In Hybrid Provider we can use only Cube and DSO as our Data Target
We can do the reporting only on the common objects with are available in DSO & Cube
It will Use multiple cubes and DSO based upon the selection and it will not create any DTP & Transformations
We can create report on the Multi provider based upon selection
Where as in Multi provider we will have combination of many Data Target
In Multi provider we have multiple options and there are no such criteria as common object.
New Features in Hybridprovider:
Contained in Data Store only & Not assigned Folder:
When we design the info cube in the Hybrid provider the Info Objects will be moved to Not Assigned folder in DSO i.e.; the info object will not be able to identify whether it should be a Key field or a Data Field.
When we design the DSO all the objects in the Key Fields and data fields will appear in the Contained in Data Store Only folder in the Info Cube of the Hybrid Provider
Contained in Data Store only: This is a temporary folder . If you include new infoobjects in the Hybridprovider in the view (infocube) , it is not clear whether these infoobjects should be included in the key part or data part of the datastore . For this reason , the system transfers them to this special folder.
NOTE : Before you activate the HybridProvider , you have to assign these infoobjects correctly in the view (Datastore); the#not assigned# folder must be completely empty.
Creation of Hybrid Provider:
Step 1: Go to RSA1 Right click on the Infoprovider and create Hybridprovider
Step 2 : Give the Description and select create
Step 3: Select the required objects that needs to be in DSO as a data field & key fields.
Step 4: Select the required objects that needs to be in Info Cube as Dimensions and Key Figures and Save the Hybridprovider.
Step 5: Go to RSA1 and check the hybridprovider, you can see the DTP and Transformations which is automatically created between the DSO and Info Cube
Step 6: We can see only the common objects been mapped as the transformation is created to connect DSO and Cube
Step 7: Schedule the DTP to load the data from the required source.
Step 8: Go to manage tab to check the data load and check if the data is available.
Step 9: Active the data in DSO for the reporting purpose.
