The Biggest Release of SAP BusinessObjects Mobile Is Here!

For over five years, customers have trusted SAP to mobilize decision-making via the SAP BusinessObjects Mobile solution.  Today, we are all excited that SAP BusinessObjects Mobile 4.1.0 is available here for the iPad on the Apple App Store. Just a few of the new capabilities in SAP BusinessObjects Mobile 4.1.0 include:

  • Integration with Sybase Unwired Platform
  • Support of SAP Crystal Reports content
  • Support of SAP BusinessObjects WebIntelligence functions, like drill, sections, input controls
  • Integration with the SAP Streamwork application for improved collaboration
  • Annotation capabilities for richer team decision making

If you have never taken the first step with mobilizing your business intelligence from BusinessObjects, now is obviously the time.  The final question becomes, where do you start? Slides such as ‘what’s new in Feature Pack 3’ call out features for 4.0.3 and 4.1. Despite the version of SAP BusinessObjects Mobile client is 4.1.0, the iPad app isn’t dependent on BI releases down the road.  There is a good chance that you already have deployed, or are about to roll out an SAP BusinessObjects BI landscape that is ready for SAP BusinessObjects Mobile 4.1.0.  Below you will find a table with the supported SAP BusinessObjects Platforms.

      Fantastic!! We have already rolled out and using Mobile BI 4.0.3 and facing some own application restrictions. I hope those restrictions will  not be there in 4.1.0,

      yesterday only I have done that app update to 4.1.0. I feel there are few changes in the GUi and functionalities. Streamwork colloboration also will be an added advantage.

      Annotation also giving a value for a user to send a mail with those annotaions. 

      I need some support in App prompt level. I am getting an error when I am passing calender values to that prompt. its not coming properly. When I take BEx query through BO webi. calender parameters are as it is like Ipad calender selection view (standard Ipad calender).  currently new requirement using MSAS and extrating the SQL cube through IDT universe *.UNX.  in this situation when I pass calender diamensions through prompt value app is passing some error releated to data source.

      FP3 is it available for GA?
