How a Supply Chain executive can Run Better….Faster… Smarter at SapphireNow and ASUG

This is a very busy time of the year as we are in the midst of preparing for the upcoming SAPPHIRE NOW + ASUG Annual Conference from May 14 -16 in Orlando. The supply chain team is very excited about the content being incorporated across both events, and we thought it would be a good idea to provide a snapshot of highlights for a Supply Chain Executive attending the event.

Customer Success Stories

This year we have a wide variety of customer presentations scheduled for Orlando.  If you have a global supply network with outsourced manufacturers you will not want to miss ConAir discuss how they leverage SAP Supply Network Collaboration to manage their relationships with outsourced manufacturers in China.  Another CP company, CH Guenther, is talking about how they optimize loads and improve on-time delivery with the SAP Transportation Management application. At Sapphire, you can also hear SAP Extended Warehouse Management successes such as Mexican retailer Liverpool talk about their deployment of its key distribution centers, and learn how distribution leader Grainger maximized automation and distribution efficiency. Another highlight will be the Artoni presentation on their B2B communication platform (SAP Information Interchange) in the context of their fully integrated SAP supply chain execution platform.

There will also be a panel discussion where we have invited ConAgra and Radisys to discuss the benefits of a demand-driven supply chains, and how they leverage S&OP, Response Management and Multi-Echelon Inventory Optimization processes to help achieve their business goals.

New Sapphire Demo Theaters

New to Sapphire this year are the demonstration theaters where you can see a scheduled 20 min overview of specific solution areas.  For Supply Chain innovations specifically we are excited to see some of the new and planned solutions powered by HANA such as SAP Sales & Operations Planning, SAP Supplier InfoNet, SAP Demand Signal Management and SAP Global Batch Traceability.

Micro Forums

Last year we introduced the concept of micro forums to Sapphire and were blown away by the level of interest and participation. We are building on this excitement in 2012 covering such topics as Supply Chain Planning, Supply Network Collaboration, Inventory Optimization, Response Management, Service Parts Management, EWM, S&OP, TM and Analytics.  These Micro Forums will include discussions around new capabilities, best practices and deployment options (such as Rapid Deployment Solutions) and will be facilitated by SAP experts and customers..

ASUG

The beauty of co-location Sapphire with ASUG is that it gives our customers the opportunity of attending 2 events for the price of one, and the associated benefits of even more information becoming available.

ASUG has over 25 sessions targeted at Supply Chain Executives. You can learn how Owens Corning implemented SAP Transportation Management 8.0 or how Harry & David replaced a “best of breed” applications with SAP Extended Warehouse Management. Hallmark Cards’ will share the top lessons learned from their SAP APO Implementation, and you can also hear how Rockwell Automation and Sauer-Danfoss use SAP Supply Network Collaboration to eliminate paper invoices and automate Accounts Payable.

There are also Influence Council Meetings for APO, EWM and SNC as well as many sessions that discuss “what’s new” in the respective solution areas.

So if you are a Supply Chain Executive, there will be no shortage of opportunities for you to learn more from SAP experts and speak with your peers.  To check out more details, leverage the links to reviews Sapphire & ASUG sessions, learn about ASUG in depth seminars, or simply get a feel for Sapphire Now 2012.

We look forward to continuing the discussion at SapphireNow 2012.
