A picture is worth a thousand words...

OOQ4 – Career Maintenance

Here we create a career path for a job or a position.  It shows where you are and where you can reach in future.

We draw the career path with three different color boxes. White represents the career (we give any name). Yellow for position and Blue for Job (we select the existing job and position).

Here you can see 3 areas.

  1. Display Area

2.     Navigation Area

3.     Node Area

From the node area you pick the Job/Position and drop in the display area.

Step 5

Select a Job or a Position from the Node Area and drop in to the ‘Display Area’.

Step 6

select an existing position (or Job).

Likewise you can drag and drop different Jobs or Positions. You can make it one after one (if a position have two choices, for example software Sr. Engineer to ‘Team Lead’ or ‘Project Manager’).

Step 7

You can set the duration for each period. Select the position and go to ‘Edit’, select ‘set duration’ or .

Note: The redraw  button works as ‘undo’ (not sure)

Structure Sample

  1. Software Engineer --> Sr. Software Engineer -->  Team Lead or Tech Lead --> Team lead/Tech lead --> Project Manager or Tech lead to Project Architect --> IT Head.
