For Functional Consultant: How to Transport (Variant Variables STVARV) and (Program Variant)

This blog is published in the language “Portuguese” permitted by new policies of SDN.

In this blog you will learn in an easy and practical to transport variant STVARV and variant  program without having to make the change directly in the production environment.

In customers where I work, variants STVARV are widely used by functional consultants and this is very good because we do not need to leave fixed codes in programs or creating parallel tables facilitating maintenance.

But some do not know how to transport and update these variants directly in the productive environments leaving much of the time not equalized creating future problems.

Some would also transport variants of programs and do not know how to do this and end up creating the variant manually in each environment.

Clique no botão “Criar”.

Nesse exemplo estou criando o parâmetro Z_TESTE com o valor VAR_TESTE

Após criar clique no botão “Salvar”.

Irá aparecer um pop-up.

Acesse o menu: Utilitários–>Ordem transporte…image

Clique no botão “Executar”.image

Selecione a variante que deseja transportar e clique no botão “Avançar”.

Irá aparecer um pop-up.

  • Hello,

How about using standard SAP provided report RSTRANSP to transport variants.

P.S: I almost struggled to understand the screenshots. It’s good to know that portuguese is accepted but how am I supposed to understand this blog or is it not for me?. I think protuguese acceptance should include:
a)Option provided in the blog to get converted into English. This option was there in few blogs I read sometime back.
b)Put them into portuguese specific section.
    c) At least screenshots in English.

    • I skipped this blog, because I had trouble reading it.  A solution perhaps, is to do the Portuguese first, and then the English after in the entire blog not piece by piece.

That would help me a lot!

And in the interest of giving you a million ways of doing one thing.  Simply go to SE38.  Click on Varient.  Utilities->transport request.

Happy Tuesday – wishing it were Friday!

      • Hello Michelle,

I think there was a similar blog, sometime back, wherein we discussed many ways of doing this particular task.
        Happy Tuesday!
I may have to wait for just tomorrow as in India 26th Jan is a National Holiday đŸ™‚

        • Mmmmmmm…  I’ll have to look for it.   But Bruno, keep them coming – if I’ve forgotten, other people have as well.  Not to say – do another blog on the same subject on purpose…  Although maybe your blog has something new to offer.

Kumud – Have an EXCELLENT holiday!

      • Hi Michelle,

        Thanks for the comments!

I’ll join your idea to the next, can be sure! Please see the comments I made earlier.

    • Hi Kumud,

      Thanks for the comments!

The Blog has been published in the “Portuguese” blog but all appear together.

I will follow the idea of Michelle Crapo, first published in Portuguese at the end after all in English for a better presentation.

So you have the screenshot in English.

I started blogging at the end of last year and got a lot to learn. I hope you understand that.

      Thank you.
