For the first time ever the EPM roadmap can be found online at http://service.sap.com/roadmap. The roadmap contains forward looking statements on what’s to come in EPM.

A great way to meet with customers in person and to hear their stories, is to attend a conference. The ASUG customer conference (http://www.asug.com/) is a great conference to do so. The ASUG local chapter meetings near you, are a great and cost-effective alternative. SAP SAPPHIRENOW (http://www.sapphirenow.com/) and SAP TechEd (http://www.sapteched.com) are great options as well.

There are tons of demos out there on the internet. I would highly recommend 3 sources:

The SAP youtube channel contains many demos including overview of planning and consolidation processes, BPC 10.0 feature demos such as reporting with the new EPM10 client and many starter kit demos including CAPEX starter kit, liquidity planning etc.

The SAP.com demos show a high level business process overview – oftentimes leveraging multiple EPM solutions to show end-to-end integration.

Another question that we get asked a lot is about landscape strategy for BPC NW: Should we install BPC on the same server as our enterprise BW or is it advisable to install it on a separate instance. This page contains information about the IFRS starter kit best practices for consolidation and also connection information for BI on top of BPC (see master guide for details). The EPM add-in front-end install guide can be found in the same location.

BPC 10.0 ramp up knowledge transfer materials (ramp-up participants only) can be accessed at service.sap.com/rkt-epm. The material contains demos, guides, and detailed instructions about what’s new in BPC 10.0 MS and NW.

Since i received multiple questions around the Ramp-Up exit dates - especially for BPC 10.0, I added a comment pointing the readers of this blog to the direct links to the PAM that contains the Ramp-Up exit dates.

Hello,

Is there, for the EPM10, an equivalent of the document:" ELITE_7.5NW_EVDRE.pdf" which explains how MDX/RSDRI ect.. queries function in the 10.0, gives recommendations about the EPM reports structures and gives Best Practices for performance optimization?

Hi,

this blog is really useful. But i cannot find a lot of documentation to the new BPC 10. I am looking for an overview that points out all the changes from 7.0/7.5 to 10, and some documentation that gives some good insight into the all new appearance of BPC 10 on the user's side regarding the EPM Add-in for Office.
