Join me in the SAP Influencer Summit – Let me hear your HCM/HR voice ! Chime in !

Join me in the SAP Influencer Summit taking place this week in Boston.

Well, this is it…the year closing has certainly made quite an impression on the Human Capital Management (HCM) field of expertise with the acquisition of Success Factors.

My favorite reviews of this new step were :

“Do you think the acquisition of SuccessFactors by SAP at a 52% premium is a smart move?”

SAP-SuccessFactors: 9 reasons why this is a smart acquisition

While the legal teams are finalizing the paperwork of this acquisition,  another great event is scheduled to take place this week : The SAP Influencer Summit.

Not only I’m quite fortunate to be part of the extended Community family also referred to as the SAP Mentors, but I have been invited by SAP to take part in this two days event. The agenda set is quite challenging…. I have my views but as I’m only a small part of the community, I’d like to hear you voice. Perhaps would you also have questions, remarks, ideas or concerns in the field of SAP Human Capital Management (HCM) (It’s Ok if you still refer to this area of expertise Human Resources (HR) as I do J ).

Kindly join me in this Influencer summit and let your voice be heard !

You can post your questions and remarks in the following document which is easier to compile than listing all comments.

For those of you also connected onto twitter, you can follow the @sapmentors reporting from the flightdeck and monitor the hashtag #sapsummit

You can also engage and ping me on @mgillet

Feel free to chime in and fill in this form with your questions, remarks, inputs etc.

Thanks for your participation, glad to make your voice hear !

All the best, see you in the #sapsummit stream.

  • Hi Martin,

I have a question, I believe many of us are curious about : What will be the future of CareerOnDemand -will it still be launched next year, or will it be postponed/cancelled due to SuccessFactors acquisition? – ? Did you get a clear understanding in this regard?

    Thank you in advance ..

    Enjoy your time!

    • Great article Martin and a shame there was more engagement and appreciat Dilek chiming in.  As far as Career onDemand here are my thoughts outlined in this article [original link is broken] [original link is broken]

      7. Do you expect SAP to release Career OnDemand and continue to build other LOB OnDemand HCM apps?

All signs are pointing towards Career OnDemand not being launched as it was telling that Jim Hagemann Snabe specifically mentioned all the other OnDemand solutions but Career OnDemand on the recent analyst call. SAP already offers two on-premise performance management solutions (Flexible/Pre-Defined) and having two in the SaaS space (Career OnDemand/SuccessFactors) would be too confusing for SAP to market to customers. I have a lot of respect for the individuals on the Career OnDemand team and they generally seem excited as they see SAP’s commitment to the cloud, they should have key roles in the new organization, and the most important is that their 12 months of working with customers will given them the opportunity to infuse SuccessFactors with all the learning’s to help execute better, faster and smarter moving forward.

      • I have already read that wonderful blog of your Jarret, thank you for being so enlightening! I was curious whether there were any breaking news from summit.
@martin: we are expecting a post-summit blog from you 🙂
