Professors from SAP University Alliances Program (UAP) member schools across North America are invited to participate in four days of train-the-trainer oriented coursework that introduces participants to SAP functionality as well as best practices for successful classroom use. Workshop content is developed and delivered by professors active in the program. The four face-to-face workshop sessions are detailed below, with links that UAP member professors can use to access the workshop materials and participate in post-workshop online discussions with their instructors and fellow attendees.

Introduction to SAP University Alliances and SAP ERP This introductory course is designed for schools new to the SAP University Alliances program as well as faculty from long time member schools that are new to using SAP curriculum in classes. It provides participants with a thorough grounding in the curriculum available through the SAP University Alliances community. From basic navigation to an overview of each of the major process areas of SAP ERP, this introductory course explains organizational structure and business processes within the SAP framework. None

Introduction to SAP Business ByDesignTM

This introductory course is designed for new as well as experienced faculty in the SAP University Alliances program who want to better understand the On-demand ERP solution from SAP. The workshop introduces SAP Business ByDesign for small and mid-size enterprises. This Software as a Service (SaaS) solution has an easy to use, intuitive user interface which is ideal to use in an introductory course in IS, BPM and ERP. The topics covered include user interface, role based approach to BPM, hands-on overview of business process, self learning resources, embedded analytics and mobile apps.

You must have completed a prior “Introduction to SAP University Alliances” workshop to attend this online workshop. If not, prior to this workshop you much complete the recorded online workshop: Fall Online Intro to UA, 2 sessions.

ERP Simulation Game

In the course of this game, students have to run a business with a real-life ERP system (SAP). Groups of students each operate a firm in a made-to-stock manufacturing supply chain and must interact with suppliers and customers by sending and receiving orders, delivering their products and completing the whole cash-to-cash cycle. Using standard and custom reports of SAP ERP, students have to analyze these transactions and make business decisions to ensure the profitability of their operations. This workshop covers everything a professor needs to know to use the game in the classroom. The new Logistics game will also be covered.

You must have completed an “Introduction to SAP University Alliances” and “Introduction to SAP ERP” workshop to attend this workshop. Do not register for ERPsim if this is your first University Alliances workshop.

Each attendee must participate in the pre-workshop (remote) distribution game on December 12, 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM (EST) or December 15, 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM (EST)

Student Certification Academy Delta Training For Certified Professors This workshop is exclusive to full-time faculty/staff at University Alliances member schools who have successfully passed and received the TERP10 certification from SAP, and plan to teach a Student Certification Academy on campus in 2012. The intent of the workshop is to provide information on the upcoming changes to the TERP10 certification course and exam as well as addressing issues that are designed at improving pass rates for SAP University Alliances students. The four day workshop involves discussions and hands-on exercises from the new version of the TERP10 certification course. The presenters also share their best practices as well as provide supplemental materials that have proven successful. Attendees are expected to complete a brief survey upon registering for the workshop to help narrow the focus of the material presented. There is significant emphasis on techniques aimed at improving pass rates and the initial feedback from this survey is important in customizing content towards this objective.

Full-time faculty/staff who have successfully completed the TERP10 course / passed the certification exam and plan to teach a Student Certification Academy on campus in 2012.
