Adding records to your data base

Many times I have customers ask how to add one or two records to a file that they have already imported into the DeskTop Mailer or Postalsoft Business Edition software.  There are two ways to do this.  If you have a large number of records to add to a file you can do a second import into the original file.  All records in the new file will be add to the end of the original file.  So if you have 10,000 records in your file and you import a second file of 100 records they will be record number 10,001 to 10,100.  If you have just a few records to add to the file you can go to the bottom of the file in the data sheet view and click on the line with the *.  All you need to do is just type in the information for each record that you want to add. That will add your records to the end of the data base for you.  Once you are done adding records it is a good idea to go to the tools menu and reindex the file.

Korey:  It seems to me (as an SCN moderator) that this style of technical writing belongs in the wiki, not as a blog.  I'd give you links to what the blog style rules are, but I'd prefer you search for that yourself.
The wiki for Postalsoft products is here. You should send a note to SCN support if you can't edit the wiki.
